About our Church

Church History

The church, first known as the Ivy Bluff Methodist Episcopal Church South, was organized in 1899 with sixteen charter members. Lumber and other supplies were donated by the interested people of the community. The first church building was completed in 1905, the membership had grown to thirty-five.
The first structure, with improvements, served the congregation until 1948. Virtually the same process produced this building as had gone into the construction of the first building.
